Orca Fishing Boat Jaws.

This is a work in process model and so far has the basic components and uv layout. I then used Turtle to calculate an ambient occlusion.

  2. Hi
Thanks for your comment. Hope your model is looking good. I've updated the orca with some new pics but not been able to do much on it for a while. . . . . a big game at work has been getting in the way. . . :)
    Cheers

  5. Hi Andy,

First of all, amazing job on the boat model!

Second, I'm trying to model the same boat and I'm searching for some blueprints, but so far I wasn't been able to find any. Can you please tell me how did you achieve such an accurate model? I mean were you able to find blueprints or you've actually pulled the measurements yourself?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Ahmed
Thanks for your comments, glad you like the model. I need to get around to finishing the Orca some time :)As for blueprints or measurements I used neither. I gathered as much reference materiel as I could and worked from that, estimating sizes, distances, etc.
Hope that helps and I'd love to see your take on the Orca when you've finished.
      Cheers
      Andy B

  6. Amazing work. You are able to create real-world objects with great attention to detail and effinciancy. Your mesh flow is clean and does not show any obvious redundancies or misused polys. Truly you are a master of your craft Andrew!

    1. Thanks Vincent. I haven't had much opportunity over the past few years to work on my own personal models but I'm hoping to squeeze some time in next year and update this site soon.
